Carter has since 2005 been married to Van Jones who was born Anthony Kapel Jones on September 20, 1968. He rose to prominence as a human rights activist, political activist, businessman, CNN contributor, Van Jones Show host, a writer whose two books ‘The Green Collar Economy’ and ‘Rebuild the Dream’ became New York Times bestselling books.
