On December 29th, 1988 in Florida USA, Janet Layug was born an American with a Filipino-Polish background to parents who served in the US Navy. Layug has 3 siblings – two older sisters and a younger brother.

In terms of education, Janet attended quite a number of and upon the completion of her elementary and high schools, she proceeded to the University of Florida.

Career

Although a registered nurse who has worked in the Intensive Care Unit of the Lakeland Regional Health Medical Centre, Janet took interest in modeling and even took jobs in line with it. She later developed an interest in bodybuilding and paid keen attention to it.

Inasmuch as Janet participated in a few minor bodybuilding competitions, she gained her first major spot in 2013 where she competed and won the NPC National Championships. This win became her major win which gave her fame.

Since she took the route to bodybuilding, Janet participated in several competitions which include the NPC Fort Lauderdale Cup (2013), IFBB Arnold Classic (2014), IFBB Battle on the Beach Pro (2014), IFBB EVL’s Prague Pro (2015), and IFBB Arnold Classic Australia (2019) among others. Janet came out victorious in some of the competitions while winning was not on her side in others.
