Jannero Pargo Biography
Jannero Pargo was born on the 22nd of October in 1979; in Chicago, Illinois where he also spent all of his childhood. He is one of the three children his parents, Jannero Brown and Charlie Mae Pargo have; his siblings are Jeremy, his brother, and Kizzy his sister. Not much is known about his family and his younger years. For his high school education, Pargo went to the public school, Paul Robeson high school in Chicago while he was at Paul Robeson, he played high school basketball.
After high school, Jannero Pargo moved to Kansas where he attended the Neosho County Community college. He was in Kansas for two years, only leaving in 2000 to attend the University of Arkansas where he spent two more years. By 2002 he was done with his educational pursuits, during his years at Arkansas he was on the school’s varsity team, the Arkansas Razorbacks.
When he graduated from the University of Arkansas, Pargo joined the NBA draft of 2002 but was not picked by any team. But he still played for teams in the NBA as a free agent. The first team he played for was the Los Angeles Lakers, where he played the position of a point guard. In the course of his professional career as a player of the sport, Jannero Pargo played for a total of eleven teams.
He retired in 2017 and by that year he was already working as a coach. Pargo’s first job as a coach was with the Windy City Bulls team; they are part of the NBA G League and have an affiliation with the Chicago Bulls. He worked as the team’s assistant coach for two years between 2017 and 2019 when he joined Portland’s home team the Portland Trail Blazers as an assistant coach as well. He currently works with the Trail Blazers.

When Jannero Pargo left the University of Arkansas he began a relationship with a woman called Malaysia. Both of them dated for four years before tying the knot in 2006. Their first child was born in 2007 and in 2011 a pair of twins followed suit.
During the course of their marriage, Malaysia garnered a lot of fame as she was part of the show Basketball Wives: Los Angeles. She was one of the more prolific members of the show and she quickly had a large fan base. The success she had on the show, created a ripple of effect of her getting invited to numerous television shows. Malaysia has been able to put her face and name to other ventures such as the making and sale of custom jewelry as well as the creation of a furniture and upholstery company. Malaysia and Jannero got divorced in 2014 but she has maintained his name, as this is what she is mostly known by.
The couple’s first child, Jannero Pargo Jr. who is named after his father has also started to build his career as a media personality just like his mother, as Malaysia is known to feature him on her social media pages where she has more than a million followers.
