Sinner was born in Innichen in the predominantly German-speaking region of South Tyrol, northern Italy on 16 August 2001 to his parents, Siglinde Sinner and Hanspeter Sinner. 2. He nearly sacrificed tennis for skiing and football

3. He made his junior career debut in 2016
In 2016, Sinner started competing on the ITF Junior Circuit, the top junior tour managed by the International Tennis Federation (ITF). Despite his minimal junior success, he concentrated on the professional tour after the year’s finish. The only higher-level Grade A tournament he participated in was the Trofeo Bonfiglio, and he never competed in the main draw of any high-level Grade 1 singles competitions. After losing in the first round of the Grade A competition in Italy in 2017, he advanced to the quarterfinals in 2018. The tennis player only participated in that junior competition in 2018. 4. The Italian sportsman turned pro in 2018
Early in 2018, Sinner started competing on the ITF Men’s Circuit. In the second half of the year, he started getting wild cards for ATP Challenger Tour competitions, the second-tier tour operated by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP). In doubles, he won his lone ITF championship of the year, and he ended the year ranked No. 551.
