Jonny O’Mara is a British professional tennis player from Scotland. He took an early interest in tennis and started playing when he was around four or five. At twelve, the scot ranked No. 1 in the UK following his success at the British Under-16 Championship.

His parents Dave and Jane gave birth to him on the 2nd of March 1995 in Arbroath, Scotland, but other reports put Keighley, West Yorkshire, England. He has two brothers; Ben (younger) who plays cricket and Chris (older) who works in a musical theatre. His parents live in Letham Grange, while his mother works in the town.

The 29 year-old tennis player loves playing in a team. In 2017, he joined the Great Britain university team that competed at the BNP World University Championships in France. The team reached the final and won a gold medal for Great Britain in December 2017.

The Arbroath tennis star matched his best-ever result at the US Open when he and partner Aisam Qureshi beat 16th seeded Belgians Sander Gille and Joran Vliegen 3-6, 6-3, 7-6.
