Joshua Samuel Sims better known as Josh Sims was born on the 28^th of March 1997 at Yeovil in the district of South Somerset, England. He grew up as a middle child in-between two siblings, a brother Adam and a younger sister Ellie in Gillingham town of Dorset area in England.

He attended the Gillingham school and then joined Southampton’s Academy from the Elite Training Centre a private football development project based in Hampshire in 2011.

Having graduated from the Southampton academy, he got the chance to make his senior club debut for the same club in the premier league game against Everton in 2016.

The versatile position player Josh Sims is a young footballer who has played for England in the U17 through to U20s from 2014 to 2018 showing a mix of on-pitch liveliness and technical skills. The Southampton player spent some time on loan from 20^th August 2018 to 2019 at Reading in what was a full season agreement. On the 7^th of August 2019, he was again on loan to the New York Red Bulls playing Major League Soccer an arrangement set to terminate by end of the year for the season. He currently plays as a winger with his jersey number 20.
