David Wayne Hoilett popularly known as Junior Hoilett is a Canadian international footballer whose professional football career began in England with Blackburn Rovers, and subsequently Queens Park Rangers, Cardiff City, and Reading. Junior Hoilett was born David Wayne Hoilett on June 5, 1990, in Brampton, Ontario, Canada to his Jamaican parents, David Hoilett and Ingrid Hoilett. He has three siblings; two sisters and his younger Jaineila Hoilett who last played for FC Dallas in 2015.

However, he was unable to play for the side due to work permit issues, so the club sent him on a loan spell to Germany, where he played for SC Paderborn and FC St. Pauli.
After the loan stint, he returned to England in 2009 and started playing for the Rovers at 19. Three years later, he signed for Queens Park Rangers (QPR) after declining an extension deal at Eastwood Park.
In 2016, the Canadian winger moved to Cardiff City until he signed a year-long contract with Reading in August 2021, and extended it to 2023 in July 2022.

Hoilett has been married for 10 years. According to reports, the one-time Blackburn Rovers player married his wife in 2014.
Two years after the wedding, the couple had a son; Kylan Hoilett, born on March 3, 2016. He is currently 8 years old.
