Justine Karain first met her husband, Patrick Reed at Augusta State University after he was transferred from the University of Georgia.
While Reed was still in the university, he took Karain’s sister, Kris out for a date. After the date, he texted her to make sure she got home safely but she never replied. He went further to contact her sister, Justine on Facebook, and that birthed their own relationship together.
Reed and Karain tied the knots after like two years. The golfer oncer revealed during an interview that the simple message he sent on Facebook was the best decision he has ever done.
Since Reed married the nurse on December 12, 2012, he has not spoken to his parents and sister. He did not even invite them to the wedding as well. It is said that he only considers Karains family as his. Meanwhile, his parents and sister have continued to attend his tournaments even though he asked the security to escort them out during the 2014 U.S. Open.

Justine Karain and Patrick Reed have been married for 12 years now and they have two lovely kids together. The couple’s first daughter Windsor-Wells was born on 22nd May 2014 and their son Barret Benjamin was born on 6th December 2017.

Justine Karain has faced some health challenges
In December 2014, Justine Karain is reported to have had a near-drowning experience while taking her bath at the Franklin Templeton Shootout in Naples, Florida. Her husband found her shaking profusely in the bathroom.
The doctors later revealed that if her husband had been 10 or 15 seconds later she would have been gone. Reed had to withdraw from the pro-am to attend to his wife’s medical needs.
Reports confirmed that Karain had a grand mal seizure was caused by low potassium and magnesium.
Her relationship with her in-laws
According to reports, Reed and his parents are not close. His feud with his parents began when they objected to his marriage to Karain based on the age difference. Karain is four years older than Reed and so his parents thought it was not good for him.
Also, Reed’s parents’ dislike of Karain began when the latter went on social media and shared a post that Reed’s parents are mentally and physically abusing the golfer. She added that the Reeds only use their son as a “meal ticket”.
