Lofton Kenneth Jr is an American basketball player who plays for the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs of Conference USA. He is a power forward that has remained very skillful and agile, possessing several tricks that aid his finish at the rim despite his body weight.
The talented baller played during his high school years with Memorial High School in Texas before going to Louisiana Tech where he now plays his collegiate basketball. 1. Kenneth’s Early life
Lofton was born on the 14 of August 2002 in the United States of America. The basketball star is currently 22 years old. He was born to the family of Kenneth Lofton Sr. and Gina Duhon Lofton and he was brought up alongside 2 siblings; Jeremiah and Kennedy.
He began playing basketball at the age of 4 and continued to build himself in the game.
2. Junior’s Career Began in High School
The American-born attended Memorial High School in Port Arthur Texas where he began playing basketball in earnest. He was initially a guard and became a post player following a growth spurt.
Lofton Clinched a 5A state title in his sophomore season. By the time he was in his senior year, he was able to average 17 points, 10 rebounds, and three assists per game. This led his team to share the 21-5A district title.
Kenneth also earned 5A All-State honors and became a McDonald’s All-American nominee. At the end of his high school, he signed a National letter of intent to play college basketball for Louisiana Tech.
3. He Was Named Conference USA Freshman of the Week Nine Times in College
Lofton recorded a freshman season-high 27 points and 13 rebounds, making a game-winning shot with 0.3 seconds left in a 76-74 win over Colorado State at the National Invitation Tournament third-place game in March 2021.
He was able to average 12.2 points and 7.5 rebounds per game, which made him win Third Team All-Conference U.S.A and Freshman of the year honors. Loftons’ college career got a boost when he was named Conference USA Freshman of the week nine times. He became the first Louisiana Tech Freshman to lead his team in rebounding since Paul Millsap in 2003-2004.

Kenneth’s dreams of becoming a basketball player were threatened when a tumor was discovered in his brain at the tender age of 2.
Thanks to the capable hands in Texas children’s hospital Houston where a successful surgery was carried out that removed the tumor, he was given another shot to live and play the sport he has always loved.

Lofton’sfather was a soldier with the United States Army. He Later Joined the United States Postal Service for 18 years and was elected to the Porth Arthur Independent School District board of trustees.
