Kessia Mirellys is a Brazilian bodybuilder and fitness model who gained a global following for her amazing physique. She is more of a steel woman whose thick leg tendons and her well-toned upper body see several all over the world trying to copy.

The fine bodybuilder and fitness model is a product of hard work and dedication. She is proof that you can achieve whatever you set your mind on, provided you are ready to go to any length to make it happen.

Who Is Kessia Mirellys?

Kessia Mirellys was born on 5th April 1990 in South America by her parents. She is currently 35 years old. Though she is Brazilian by nationality, other sources reveal her lace of birth to be Humacao, Puerto Rico.

There is basically nothing about her parents and siblings or childhood days. What we know is that she is an amazing bodybuilder with a mesmerizing physique.

1. Her Father Inspired Her To Become A Bodybuilder

The South American didn’t get any motivation from any bodybuilder or person per se but from her father. He is the reason she is what she is today; serving as a big inspiration to her. He was the one that would always wake her up as early as 4:30am for her training every morning.

2. Kessia Mirellys showed Interest In Fitness And Body Building At 5 

Very few people knew what they want to become at a tender age. And few of them chase it to the end. But, it’s different for the South American as she knew what want to become in the future from a tender age and pursue it.

At 5, Kessia showed interest in bodybuilding and fitness, but that wouldn’t have been possible without her support system. Her father was there to support her with her dream. So, with the help of her father, she trained, and today it is paying off.

3. Her Brother Twice Survives Cancer

Annually millions of people die from cancer. The same goes for the survivors. But for one to survive the deadly disease twice is a miracle.

That is the story of Kessia’s brother who survived cancer twice. His survival against the disease is one of those things that inspire his sister to take up the business of bodybuilding and fitness seriously.

4. She Adopted New Training Styles

The fitness model has trained for many years and has embraced new training styles. However, she only paid attention to basic movements like squats, pull-ups, push-ups, and chest press. She did those in the beginning, creating her breathtaking body structure.

With time, she pitched her tent around professional trainers and learned new training moves. What she did even helped her to further create a more striking figure at her bodybuilding phase.

Some of them include; weighted farmer carries, overhead straight arm extension for her chest, and lateral muscles. And hanging leg raises to bring out a remarkable mid-section.

5. Kessia Mirellys Has Been Doing plyometrics As A Child 

She loves doing plyometrics. It didn’t just start today; she began doing it as a child. According to her, it helps in keeping her body tight and in shape; and she would continue to do it till the day she dies.

Asides from plyometrics and lighter weights, she also uses heavy weights to form extra muscle mass.

6. Her Core Exercises 

In order to maintain tension at all times, she engages in hanging leg raises and crunches. She does this to create muscle damage, and even anabolic responses as well.

These core exercises power her entire core to be worked at all times.

7. How Kessia Begin Her Workout Sessions 

She often begins her workout sessions with a heavy compound movement. By doing this, she utilizes her stored energy. This allows her to create as much power as possible to take her through physically demanding exercises like squats, deadlifts, and other compound movements.

After this, she goes into accessory isolation movements. They are made up of single-leg hamstrings curls, leg extensions, calf raises, and bicep curls among others.

8. She Came 2nd Position In The 2020 IFBB Professional League 

She competed in the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB)  Professional League in August 2020. It took place in Tempa, Florida, US, where she walked home with a cash prize of $1,100 for coming in 2nd place in the wellness category.

9. Height And Body Measurement

As a fitness model, Kessia keeps her body at all times in shape. She is 5feet 6 inches (1.67m) tall. And maintains a weight between 61.2kg (135lbs) and 65.8kg (145lbs).

10. Kessia Mirellys’ Diet 

The South American bodybuilder and fitness model eat simply. She ensures her meals don’t have excess sugar, saturated fats, and empty calories. In fact, she advises people who want to reduce weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle to cut down or eliminate them totally.
