37-year-old Kiara Morrison is a former high school basketball player and the long-time partner of 36-year-old American professional basketball player and Chicago Bulls shooting guard, DeMar DeRozan. Her beauty and cheerfulness won the hearts of the media and fans, and this earned her popularity besides her relationship with the NBA star.

Early Life And Family Background Of Kiara Morrison
Kiara Morrison was born on January 18, 1988, in Compton, California to Keith Morrison and Ruth Jaco. She has a sister named Courtney, and together, they spent a greater part of their childhood days in Compton. Her parents were said to have met during her father’s time in the US military and married shortly after.
The 37-year-old is of mixed ethnicity; half-Filipino and half-Balck. Her father who is Filipino was a former basketball player for the Philippines Basketball Association (PBA). And because of this, she developed a passion for the game and went on to play in high school and college.
Kaira had her high school education at Serra High School, in Gardena, California, where she played regularly for the school’s basketball team, and went on to average a total of 7.9 points, 8 rebounds, and 0.6 assists per game. Upon graduation, she proceeded to the University of South California (USC) where she eventually crossed paths with DeMar who was also a student at the time and playing college basketball.
Ironically, the Compton native never visited the Philippines as a child until she was 26. She accompanied DeMar DeRozan to the country in July 2014 to an NBA-sponsored clinic for the survivors of super typhoon Yolande which claimed thousands of lives and displaced millions in 2013.

Kiara And DeMar Met In 2009
The Compton-born and the NBA player’s relationship was born out of basketball. This happened in 2009 when they met during DeMar’s only season with the USC Trojans of the University of Southern California. They boomed into each other after one of his games, and as they got talking about the game and areas where the team could have done better, DeRozan was impressed with her knowledge and analysis, so they started going on dates.
Later on, the relationship became obvious. Despite being together for all these years, and sharing three children, the pair are not officially married. She is often referred to as DeMar DeRozan’s wife by the media, but that is not the reality on the ground. Although she was spotted with an expensive ring given to her by him in 2013.
Besides, their relationship has been through a rough patch in 2017. They broke up during the 2017-18 season with the half-Filipino claiming she was single. At the moment, they are back together and have been seen a couple of times together.

The former high school basketball player and her partner have three children. In 2013, they had their first daughter, Diar DeRozan, and three years later had a second daughter, Mari. A third was also born in 2022, but Kiara is yet to reveal the name of the baby’s name.

She went on to thank her mother for raising her and her sister, and now, she is raising hers.
