Lauren Shehadi (41), is an American sportscaster with the MLB network. In the course of her career, she has hosted both national and international events. The McLean native started honing her skills while in college and worked at stations like KMXC-TV before finding her niche at MLB Network.

Lauren Shehadi was born on May 23, 1983, in McLean, Virginia to parents of Lebanese descent. Her parents, Mary Shehadi and Michael Shehadi raised her and her only sister. Aside from keeping other members of her family away from the cameras, she has shared images of herself and her father on her social media page.
She was a lover of sporting activities right from High school where she was active on the softball team-the Saxons at Langley High School. After completing high school in 2001, she enrolled at the University of North Florida.

She started honing her journalism skills while still a student at the University. While following the careers of her favorite athletes, Shehadi hosted the Gatorzone- an online sports channel at her school that reported sporting activities in Florida.
During her internship with The Best Damn Sports, she also doubled as a sports anchor at a TV station- KMXC-TV based in Minot. It was while at KMXC that she met Jim Olson whom she referred to as the man that first accepted and taught her many things about the profession.

Accordingly, the sports enthusiast flies to Atlanta every week to film the show at the Networks’ studio based in Secaucus, N.J.
