Following this event, the pair got married, although the exact wedding date wasn’t revealed it was speculated that the ceremony took place in June 2017. Xhaka’s exit from Arsenal following his 7-year run with the Mikel Arteta-managed club came sometime in 2023. He returned to playing in the Bundesliga and somehow, his wife, Leonita, has a hand in this transfer.
Granit made the move to Bayer Leverkusen in July 2023 and seeing that his wife is originally a German, she helped in this decision. He made his debut for the club in August of the same year.
The former Arsenal player’s contract with the Bundesliga club is for 5 years.
