It was as Lineth Enid Fabienne Beerensteyn that the ace forward was born on 11 October 1996 into the family of Linda and Kenneth Beerensteyn. She was raised in The Hague together with her brothers including Rodney.
She was first drawn to football as a child, following in the footsteps of her brothers. It is revealed that one of her brothers played as a top amateur and almost went pro.
Lineth started playing for ADO Den Haag in 2012 and by 2016, she moved to FC Twente where she spent a season. Her exploits with the club attracted the attention of Bayern Munich which signed her in 2017.

According to her, when she was playing with FC Twente in a champions league game against Sparta Prague, vile racist sounds were made against her being the only black player on the field. Although her teammates wanted to react, she told them there was no need since they had got the best revenge by knocking the team out of the league.
