The three-time NBA Sixth man of the year, Lou Williams is famous not only on the court but also off. The father of three does not shy away from talking about his polygamous relationship with two of his baby mamas.

In 2014, it revealed that he was dating both Ashley Henderson and Rece Mitchell at the same time. Both women are the mothers of his children: Joey, Syx, and Jada. While this sounds controversial for an NBA star, Lou did not try to hide the fact.

Lou William, 39, was drafted after he graduated from high school by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2005 NBA draft. He is currently a shooting guard for the Atlanta Hawks of the NBA.

1. Rece Mitchell

Lou’s girlfriend Rece Mitchell is a model, entrepreneur. She is reportedly the mother of his three children. The two have been dating since 2014 and she is the mother of the basketballer’s three children.

However, the relationship has not always been rosy especial at the time she was suspected of cheating on Lou with the Canadian rapper, Drake. In spite of the hurdles and troubles the relationship has faced, the couple seems to be in love and in tune.

The 34-year-old model began her career as a model while she was attending Henninger High school. The Michigan State University graduate is said to be an established entrepreneur. She is the co-owner of a hair weave brand called 2Glamorous and also a hair weave shop. Rece also owns a clothing store called D4 Threads.

Lou’s ex-girlfriend and baby mama, Ashley was part of the bizarre triangle with the basketball star and Rece. The two women considered each other as sister wives and reportedly had a good relationship however, Henderson would later reveal that the threesome was not an issue to her because of her two children: Jada and Zoey, and also the financial benefits she reportedly enjoyed dating an NBA player.

During an interview in 2018 with sports illustrated reporter Lee Jenkins, Lou Williams revealed he and Ashley were no longer together. Despite not being together, the two were still friends.

Neither Ashley nor Lou has revealed the reason behind the crash of their relationship.

During the love triangle with Lou and Rece, the two ladies did not have any problem dating the star together. In fact, the “sister wives” were regularly seen together at special events like Christmas and birthdays and were assumed to be friends until Lou cleared the air about them being the mothers of his children.

In 2020, the shooting guard took permission to pay his final respects to his grandfather who had passed during that period. He was on an excused absence from the Orlando NBA quarantine bubble to attend the funeral viewing which made him miss practice and his coach, Doc Rivers stated that he was absent due to some personal matters.

However, pictures of him and rapper Jack Harlow in a club surfaced on Instagram but he claimed he had only gone there to pick up food. The NBA security put him under a 10-day quarantine period which made him miss a couple of games for the season.

The Magic city strip club later tweeted to back him up. Despite all, his actions were reportedly questioned and placed under investigation by the NBA while he was still on leave.

1. Lou Was Three Siblings

Born October 27, 1986, the NBA star was born to his parents Willie Louis Williams and Janice Faulker in Memphis before the family later moved to Atlanta when he was eleven years old.

He was raised with his two brothers: Taurus Stinnett and Willie Louis Williams II and one sister Shaun Haynes.

2. His Career Started Quite Early

The NBA star is sure on a roll once he gets a hold of the ball. This is not surprising since ‘Sweet Lou’, as many call him has dedicated decades of his life doing his first love, basketball. His career started at Gwinnett High school where he got the attention of scouts.

The Clipper star and his girlfriend Rece had their son at the same time he made a new contract for the 2020-21 season by the clippers. The mom-to-be shared a side photo of herself showing off her baby bump on Instagram.

After the Los Angeles Clippers guard won three of the last six Sixth Man of the Year awards, he and his girlfriend decided to name their son Syx after he was born on December 31, 2019.

3. He Escaped a Mugging after His Attacker Recognised His Face

Back in 2011 when his legendary love life was still in the shadows, the then Philadelphia 76ers player found himself in a threatening situation. He was driving on Christmas Eve when a man approached his car with a drawn gun and wanted to rob him.

As things escalated quickly, the man had a change of heart after he recognized Lou as a player. Lou convinced the man and bought him a meal afterward. Obviously, the man was also happy with the charity work that Lou had been doing in his neighborhood.

Apart from his blossoming basketball career, Lou has a touch for rap music. He has revealed that he has unreleased material. Lou collaborated with many artists and colleagues.
