Mario Pasalic, (30) is a professional football player. Born in Mainz to parents of Croatian descent, Pasalic is married to Marija Grbesa whom he shares a son with.

Mario Pasalic was born on February 9, 1995 in Mainz, Germany. His father, Ivan and mother, Slavica moved to Germany to work after their marriage and later moved to Kaštel Gomilica, Split when Mario was 10 years old.
The 30 -year-old has strong ties to Sarajevo, the birthplace of his father. This would play out well among fans when he eventually launches his football career as we will see later. The fans erected a monument in honor of him.
He Started His Career at an Early Age
The Mainz born developed an interest in football at an early age. At the age of five, Pasalic started training at GOŠK facility and when his family moved to Split, he continued training at Hajduk and turned professional in 2013.
His ability to play different positions soon started drawing attention to him among which is the premier league team, Chelsea. The club signed him in 2014 for £3 million. His stint with the club was filled with loans to different clubs including Atalanta.
Whie at Atalanta, Pasalic put in an impressive performance that would lead to a his signing to the club. He was permanently signed to the club in 2020 for £13.4 million.
Mario Pasalic was Called to Represent Croatia at the World Cup
Having made an impressive record over the years, he was called to the Croatian national team to play at the Qatar World Cup.
Prior, the Split grown player was named in the 30-man list against the 2014 world cup but he did not get selected. It was not till September of the same year that he made his international debut in a friendly match.
Like in 2014, his invitation to the 2018 world Cup squad was futile as he did not make the list of the final 23. Despite failing to make an appearance for the Croatian team at two world cup, he was able to net his first international goal in a friendly match against Switzerland in 2020. In 2021, he increased the number of goals to 6 after making several appearances for the team.
He made his first World cup appearance in the 2022 FIFA world cup 8 years after he was first invited to the national squad.

Ivan Pasalic
Mario Pasalic’s father was born in Sarajlile, a tobacco village located near Tomislavgrad, in the federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Reportedly, Ivan is said to have also played football but never attained success.
However, theere are no records to give credence to this. Nontheless, Ivan has never relented in showing support to his son.
Slavina Pasalic
Mario’s mother, Slavina is from Vrlika, a town in Split-Dalmation. She has managed to keep a low profile despite the attention that her son’s ccareer is bringing to her.
Marco Pasalic
According to Transfer market Mario Palasic and Marco Pasalic are brothers. The 24–year-old is also a foot ball player with Borussia Dortmund.
He started his career at 1899 Hoffenheim and moved through the ranks and ended at VfB Styttgart, the same team he launched his profesional career with.
Other Family Members
He is closely linked to Ivan Krstanovic, a cousin. Krstanovic is a striker who made the news during the Prva HNL season when he scored 19 goals to become the top scorer.
Aside his international career, the January 5, 1983 old has played for only Croatian teams.

Mario Pasalic is a married man. He tied the knot with his long time lover, Marija Grbesa who now goes by Marija Pasalic on June 15, 2019 held on the Island of Čiovo. In attendance were fellow football players like Tonći Mujan, Zvonimir Milić, Mihovil Klapan, as well as their family and friends.
In their (5) years of marriage the couple have welcomed a child, Luka Pasalic who was born on February 15, 2022.
