Meiko Satomura is a skilled professional wrestler of Japanese origin. She is one of the most popular wrestlers from Japan and is considered one of the greatest wrestlers in history. She was trained by Chigusa Nagayo who is considered the greatest wrestler of all time and whom she defeated later in her career.
With over twenty-four years of experience, Meiko remains active in the sports and has learned her experience to upcoming wrestlers by creating the Sendai Girls’ Pro Wrestling. She is also a guest trainer at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.

Meiko was born in Niigata on the 17th of November 1979. She became interested in sports quite early and began her training. She began her judo training at age 3 and helped establish a women’s judo club in her junior high school where she also won the prefectural competition.
By the time she turned 15, she began her professional career. Her debut was on the 15th of April 1995 in a female promotion by Gaea Japan where she defeated Sonoko Kato. In November 1996, she teamed up with Sonoko Kato to defeat Chikayo Nagashima and Sugar Sato and became the inaugural AAAW Tag Team Champions. Meiko won this title again twice teaming up with different wrestlers. She also won the AAAW Singles Championship twice. Gaea Japan closed officially in 2005 with Meiko defeating her trainer- Chigusa Nagayo in the final closing show.
The Gaea Japan had a smooth working relationship with the World Championship Wrestling (WCW) who was then trying to establish a women’s division. Meiko began to appear in the WCW in 1996. She participated in two of their women’s inaugural tournaments but was eliminated in the first round on her two occasions.
In 2005, Meiko founded the Sendai Girls’ Pro Wrestling with Jinsel Shinzaki. They had a tournament in 2009 called Splash J & Running G tournament. Meiko’s team which had her, Tomoko Kuzumi and Kaoru went ahead to win the tournament.
She made another debut in Chikara in 2012 where she was a part of the group’s premier tournament titled King of Trios. She won the tournament in 2016 alongside Dash Chisako and Cassspandra Miyagi. In 2018, she competed in the 2nd Mae Young Classic tournament. Although she defeated Lacey Lane, Killer Kelly, and Mercedes Martinez, she got eliminated in the semifinals after she was defeated by Toni Storm.
