1. Mitchell Duke began his club career in 2009
Mitchell Duke began his youth career with Parramatta Eagles in 2009. He later moved into the central Coastal Mariners’ youth team. He then made his senior debut for the team on February 9, 2011.
Duke scored his first goal in a 3-1 win over Gold Coast United in his debut. He later signed his first senior contract in January 2012 with Central Coast Mariners for a two-year contract.
Sadly, the 2012/2013 season wasn’t quite successful for the striker. He continually scored fewer goals in the games. Duke scored 6 goals from 21 games in the 2013/14 season and in the 2014/15 season he had 3 goals from 15 games. The decrease in his performance was blamed on his coach who made him play right wing instead of the center forward position that began in his career.
Mitchell duke announced he was signed to Shimizu S-Pulse on 9 February 2015. After moving to Japan, Duke suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury that ruled him out of football for almost six months.
After four seasons with Shimizu, Duke left the club in December 2018. He went back to his home and signed with Western Sydney Wanderers FC on 25 January 2019. He later signed a deal with Al-Taawoun on 22 August 2020 and on February 1, 2021, the prolific striker returned to his former club Western Sydney Wanderers again on loan for the rest of the 2020-21 A-League season.

Mitchell Duke was first named to be in the Australian national football team squad in July 2013. He made his debut for the 2013 EAFF East Asian Cup in a draw with South Korea.
He scored his first international goal in a 3-2 loss to Japan.

Duke’s son Jaxson was born when he was with his team in Japan. He took the next flight the next morning to London where he was living with Charlotte who at that time was his fiancée.
He revealed that barely five weeks after the birth of his son, everything changed. His priorities changed and he became more concerned about his son and his family and how to build himself better.
He revealed in an interview that his family gives him extra motivation to succeed in his career. He also added that even though he has represented Australia in four major international matches where he even scored two goals, his best feeling was when he welcomed his own son.
