Molly-Mae Hagu is the girlfriend of British boxer Tommy Fury. She is an English reality TV star and a social media influencer. Molly-Mae is widely known for being on the reality TV show Love Island where she met her boyfriend, the boxer.
Asides from being a social media sensation, she also serves as a creative director of a Uk-based fast fashion retail store and a businesswoman who owns ‘Filter By Molly-Mae.

Molly-Mae Hagu was born on May 26, 1999, in Hitchin, Hertfordshire in England. She was born to Police officer parents and has one sister named Zoe. Sisters, Molly and Zoe are quite close and proof of it can be seen on social media where the 26-year old shared posts of her gifting her sister a 23,700 pounds Mercedes as a Christmas gift in 2019.
The social media sensation attended The Priory School Hitchin where she was very active in sports and club activities. She was in the school’s Irish Dancing team as well as music groups where she performed in concerts.
After schooling at The Priory School, Molly-Mae went on to study at the London Fashion Academy for 2 years. She always had an interest in fashion and planned on having a fashion store where she would buy and serve as a personal shopper.

Young Molly-Mae contested for and won Miss Teen Hertfordshire at the age of 16. She needed 300 pounds to help her compete in Miss Teen Great Britain. The championship for the competition was to be held in Blackpool in 2016. The winner of this particular competition was to go home with 1000 pounds and a portfolio for would-be stars.
While actively in the pageantry scene, Molly-Mae solicited support from people for charity causes. She needed help raising as much as 2000 pounds for children with life-threatening conditions as part of the Together for Short Lives campaign.
She was also already a growing Instagram sensation at the time and had about 8000 followers.

The pageant queen is now a well-known British entrepreneur who owns and manages a self-tan range store. She is the owner of Filter By Molly-Mae where she sells products like Tanning Drops, Mousse, Capsules, and Mitts.
The idea for the birth of this business was to change the way people tan their skin and also offer natural products. Her products are said to be for all skin types and would enhance all skin while hiding blemishes.
Hagu is also the Creative Director of PrettyLittleThings which she has been working with even before her rise to fame.
She Met Her Boyfriend on the Reality TV Show Love Island
The CEO and her boxer boyfriend, Tommy Fury, met in 2019 during the 5th season of the aforementioned Reality TV show. She joined the show on the 4th day but had always known she would be on the show since she was a teenager.
Before Molly-Mae made it to the show, she admitted that she had no money and lived in an apartment in Manchester. She lived alone as she did not have family or friends around.
At the time, she was already a social media influencer. She was even advised against going on the show so her image wouldn’t be tarnished.
However, when Molly-Mae got into the show that changed. Not only did she have a massive increase in her social media followings, but she also met her now LOML.

Tommy Fury’s girlfriend revealed her baby bump in several beautiful pictures. In one of the images, she had her shirt up and revealed that her bump was finally taking shape. She also gushed about how her baby girl was growing. In another image, the former model was in a black dress that accentuated the baby bump.
Molly-Mae also revealed that she was always crying during the first weeks of her pregnancy. In addition to that, she found it difficult to sleep at night as she woke up every 2 hours to use the bathroom.
Another challenge she admitted is the inability to feel her baby because she has an anterior placenta.
Hagu Hasn’t been Free of Controversies
In 2021, Molly-Mae Hagu, Tommy Fury’s girlfriend got herself in a couple of controversial situations. First, in March, she was reprimanded for not following the advertising rules on Instagram for running a prize draw.
9 months after that, she also received backlash for her comment on ‘The Diary of a CEO’ podcast by Steven Bartlett. What she said was controversial and it caused a national outrage. She later made a public apology for the comment she made
In July 2022, Instagram came for the social media sensation, once again. She was banned and her crime this time around was also advert-related.
Molly-Mae stated that a lot of people believe that she and her boxer boyfriend, Tommy Fury, would break up soon but she doesn’t believe so. According to her, she believes that they are soul mates and will be together forever. If this happens, she and Tommy would be among the few list of celebrity couples who remained together for a long time. They would also go down in history as one of the couples from a reality TV show that did not break up shortly after the show ended.
