She was born Paige Renee Spiranac on March 26, 1993, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. She grew up in Monument, Colorado, and began to pursue a dream in gymnastics. At the time, the young lady’s hopes were to compete in the Olympics.
While a young gymnast, she jumped from level six to ‘Elites’. This was a huge milestone in the field and her parents were always supportive and proud of her. Renee Paige was home-schooled because she needed time to train and work harder at her athletic dreams.
This dream was cut short when she suffered a heartbreaking injury. At the age of 12, the amateur gymnast fractured her kneecap, twice. She had pushed herself so much and had trained a little too hard that she suffered badly from the injury. This was the reason her Olympic dream came crashing down.
Her mother, Mrs. Spiranac hails from Croatia. Her mother’s name is Annette and she was a professional ballet dancer. Renee’s father was a one-time football player. Dan Spiranac, Paige’s father was a member of the 1976 Pittsburg Panthers national championship college football team.

One of the health challenges was a scalp problem that led to the loss of hair. She would have her hair fall off unprovoked and this led to her wearing short hair a lot. The implication of this was that people confused her to be a boy.
Another issue the would-be gymnast suffered was an asthma attack. This particular ailment prevented her from having a healthy social life. Similarly, she was rushed to the hospital a couple of times because she suffered from attacks.
At the end of her 6th grade in school, Dan and Annette decided to withdraw her from regular school and home school her instead. According to Paige, the students at her school treated her with disdain and would even go as far as throwing rocks at her during recess.
Despite leaving the school, her former schoolmates followed her on social media and continued bullying her on her former Instagram account. This prompted Renee to change Instagram handles.
Also, she was called names while playing professional golf. The reason why she was ‘slut-shamed’ was that she was wont to show cleavage. Fellow female golfers and even the male ones were uncomfortable with it and called her names.
