Paula Creamer is an American professional golfer on the U.S based LPGA Tour that has been ranked as high as number 2 in the Women’s World Golf rankings. She started playing golf when she was 10 years old and by the time she was 12, she had won 13 consecutive regional junior events in northern California.

Paula Creamer was born on August 5, 1986, in Mountain View, California, and was raised in Pleasanton. She was the only child of her parents. Her father, Paul Creamer was an airline pilot while her mother, Karen Creamer was a stay-at-home mother. Her family lived very near the Castlewood country club golf course.
Creamer was one of the top-ranked female junior golfers in California before she moved to Bradenton, Florida, and enrolled in IMG Pendleton School which was a co-educational prep school for athletic students in 2000 and graduated week after her first LPGA victory in 2005. She then moved to Isleworth in Windermere, Florida.
Paula’s Professional Career
As an amateur, Creamer won 19 national tournaments including 11 American Junior Golf Association events and she was named Player of the Year by the AJGA in 2003. She also played on the United States team in the junior Solheim Cup and was the semi-finalist in the U.S Girls’ Junior and U.S Women’s Amateur in 2003. She was placed second in the LPGA Tour’s Shoprite LPGA Classic in June 2004.
She began playing professionally when she turned 18 just after she secure membership on the tour for the 2005 season. When she joined the LPGA Tour in 2005, she became a top player. She became the youngest winner of a multiple-round tournament in LPGA history until 2011 when Lexi Thompson won the Navistar LPGA Classic at the age of 16.
The talented golfer claimed her second title of the year, winning the Evian Masters tournament in France by an eight-shot margin. She became the youngest and quickest player to reach $1 million in LPGA career earnings. Just after that, she won the NEC Open on the Japan LPGA tour and also masters the GC Ladies tournament two months later. She was also the youngest player to earn a spot on the US Solheim Cup Team. On February 20, 2006, Creamer was placed second in the inaugural Women’s World Golf ranking that was released that month. This made her extended her absence from golf which she said was the hardest year in her life.
