Rebecca Cruz was proposed to by UFC fighter, Aljamain Sterling on January 2, 2021. The couple have been together for over a decade and so the proposal did not come as a surprise to many fans and followers.
Rebecca Cruz is a fitness enthusiast as well as a beauty technician whose life was made public business with her relationship with the Bantamweight champion, Sterling.

Rebecca Cruz was born on October 29, 1990, to a woman identified as Mrs. Linda Cruz. Her mother was born on September 6, 1958, and is of Spanish descent. Asides from Rebecca, Mrs. Cruz who is fondly called ‘Coco’ bore 2 other identified children.
Aljamain Sterling’s fiancé is the last of 3 children and has older brothers known as Gabe Cruz and Abe Cruz. The former is married to Ashely and has 3 children with her so far while Abe prefers to keep out of the media. As such, Rebecca is an aunt to her siblings’ children.
The 35-year-old does share fond family celebrations with her entire family which grows by the year.
She Contracted Covid-19 When she was a Nursing Student
Rebecca Cruz was a nursing student who also worked at the Northwell Hospital sometime in 2020. She has since graduated and fulfilled all that was required of her as a student. As of 2023, Cruz is a registered nurse and has had quite an experience in the medical field.
In 2020, she contracted the coronavirus after hanging out with her then-boyfriend-now-fiance. Sterling had just returned from Vegas and he went to a restaurant with Cruz. However, she didn’t realize that she was sick till during one of her runs at the park when she felt uneasy and tired.
Rebecca returned home feeling really terrible and eventually had to check her temperature which was very high. She then went into isolation at her boyfriend’s apartment for the entire quarantine period.
With the help of her boyfriend, healthy eating, and exercising, Rebecca Cruz was able to get well and returned to work. At the time, she worked 2 jobs and also dabbled with schooling as a nursing student.
Cruz had a career in beauty as she had started a career in makeup as far back as 2012/2013. This is considered one of the other things she does outside nursing.
Aljamain Sterling Proposed to his Supposed Wife on their 10th Anniversary
Cruz and Sterling got engaged on January 2, 2021, during their 10th relationship anniversary. Rebecca and Aljamain began dating in 2011 and there are pictures on the Registered Nurse’s Instagram, as proof.
Through the decade, a thriving career in the UFC as a fighter and hers as a fitness enthusiast and make-up artist, the couple remained steadfast in their relationship. They weathered a lot together including her covid period and the athlete’s injuries and illnesses. Eventually, in 2021, Aljamain and his girlfriend took a step further into their relationship.
The couple shared several images from the engagement on their individual Instagram pages. A couple of days later, they also shared more images of a proposal photoshoot.

Aljamin Sterling recounted when he challenged boxer, Floyd Mayweather to a fight. According to Rebecca’s fiancé, Mayweather tried to hit on his fiancé at the Palms Casino Resort located in Las Vegas.
The bantamweight champion, during an episode of the Spinning Backfist podcast, narrated how Floyd sent over his ‘minions’ with an invitation for Aljamain and his fiancé to join him.
Sterling figured out it was just a plan to get Rebecca and he outrightly told them off. However, Floyd didn’t back off as he sent more people to convince Rebecca and Sterling.
With the progression of things, the ‘The Weekly Scraps Podcast’ host sent back the messengers with a message challenging Mayweather to a martial bout of his choice.
He however believes that the challenge did not get to the ears of Mayweather and that was how the situation died off.

Is Rebecca Cruz Married to Aljamain Sterling?
Despite being engaged since January of 2021, fans, followers, and the media haven’t been blessed with pictures of Sterling and Cruz’s wedding ceremony yet. The couple only refers to Rebecca as ‘Mrs. Sterling to be’ without a proper announcement yet.
At the moment, Cruz is still unmarried and hasn’t walked down the aisle yet. Hopefully, the wedding bells would ring soon and pictures would be published to the public.
