Tammy Abraham has been in form since he joined Chelsea at the start of the 2019-2020 season. The youngster has already set many records for both Chelsea and in the league. He is considered by many to be the next Didier Drogba that the London club has been looking to get.

Since the exit of the former Chelsea talisman, the club is still yet to get a prolific goal scorer who has maintained his consistency even after getting stars like Fernando Torres, Diego Costa, Alvaro Morata, and Higuain.

Hence, when Abraham came and was handed the number 9 jersey, not too many believed he would do too well because judging by history, some are of the opinion that Chelsea’s number 9 jersey is cursed. He is already proving doubters wrong.

In the class of young players like Mason Mount, here are records already ser by the young England and Chelsea forward:

For a brief period, he was the youngest Chelsea player to net a hat-trick for Chelsea after scoring three goals in the team’s 5-2 victory over Wolves. He did that in September 2019 at the age of 21 years 347 days.

The record did not last a very long time before it was broken by Christian Pulisic who netted 3 times against Burnley in October 2019 at  21 years and 38 days old.

2. 3rd 21-year-old or younger to score 2 goals in 3 EPL games

In 2006, Portugal legend, Cristiano Ronaldo became the first player aged 21 or younger to have at least 2 goals in three consecutive Premier League games. The same feat will be replicated by Dele Alli in 2017.

Tammy Abraham became only the third player to record the same feat having scored 2 goals against Norwich in a 3-2 win, followed by another two goals against Sheffield United in a 2-2 draw both in August 2019 as well as a hat-trick in Chelsea’s 5-2 win over Wolves.
