Early Life and Biography of Robson Conceicao
Born on October 25, 1988, in Salvador, Robson Donato Conceicao started boxing at the early age of 13. He started boxing to defend himself from street fights and bullies.
Robson was from a humble background and he had to trek 9 kilometers to school due to a lack of bus fares. After school, he would return to help his grandmother who sold groceries, and later his mom in the kitchen.
He met a boxing coach, Luiz Dorea who took interest in him and became his first coach. Luiz also managed Acelino Freitas, who would later become the world champion. He was enrolled in the Brazillian boxing team.

A few months after his enrollment to the Brazilian Boxing team, he fought in the qualifiers for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, after winning all his trial matches. Sadly, he lost to Li Yang in his opening match.

Erika joined boxing classes in 2005 after she was invited by a friend, and fell in love with unarmed combat. She was coached by Luiz Dorea, the same coach who coached her husband, Robson.
Erika was invited to the International Boxing Association, to represent Brazil in the 2012 Summer Olympics, after falling in the 16th round of the 2012 AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships. Sadly, she lost in the 16th round to Venezuela’s Kartha Magliocco.
Erika got married to Robson in 2013 and they welcomed a daughter, Sophia the next year. After the birth of their daughter, Erika decided to take a break from boxing to focus on her family. However, she returned to fight in the summer Olympics of 2020.

On September 25, 2022, the boxer fought 27-year-old Shakur Stevenson for the WBC, WBO, and The Ring super featherweight titles. Sadly, the fight did not go in his favor as he was defeated by a unanimous decision.
