Rose Lavelle Bio, Age

Rose Lavelle was born Rosemary Kathleen Lavelle on 14th May 1995 in Cincinnati Ohio. Her parents Marty Lavelle and Janet Lavelle raised her alongside her three siblings, John, Honora, and Mary.

She attended Mount Notre Dame High School where she grew up in Ohio, United States. At the end of her high school career, her effort was crowned with success as she received several accolades, such as the NSCAA All-Region, first-team all-state honours, in addition to winning the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Sports Women of the Year award in 2013.

After her relentless top-form performance in High school, she proceeded to the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2013. While there, she played for the university’s women’s soccer for four years.

During her sophomore year, her matchless performance got her recognition as the Cincinnati’s Player of the Year by the Cincinnati Enquirer. She scored 15 goals and earned her team 38 points.

Rose Lavelle started playing for professional football leagues during the 2014 summer when she joined the Dayton Dutch Lions under the USL W-League, and switched to the Seattle Sounders Women, during the 2015 summer still in the same League.

Club Career

Following the demise of the W-League in 2016, Lavelle went back and joined the Lions but this time she played in the Women’s Premier Soccer League for 2016 season.

The 2017 college draft saw Lavelle becoming the best overall pick and she was eventually signed to the Boston Breakers, where she started off impressively, as she scored 2 goals in the 8 games.

She was named Player of the month in April. Unfortunately, she suffered a hamstring injury which forced her to make only 10 appearances in the whole season. Before the start of the 2018 season, the team dissolved.

She found herself at the dispersal draft where she became the Washington Spirit’s first choice, becoming the best overall pick again. An injury would force her to appear only 11 times for the team in 2018 and her international duty was even more limited.

Rose Lavelle was with the Washington Spirits until 2020 when she was signed by Manchester City for which she now plays.

International Career

Speaking about international duty, Lavelle is part of the United States Women’s National Soccer Team roaster, which she joined in 2017.

She made her debut in a match against England at the 2017 SheBelieve Cup, and she was named the Player of the Match following their 1-0 loss.

Again, Lavelle was integrated into the U.S. Women National Team line-up for the 2018 CONCACAF Women’s Championship. She eventually played all the games for the U.S during the tournament and was able to score 3 goals, helping the U.S team to claim their second back-to-back CONCACAF title.

In her debut World Cup for the United States at the FIFA 2019 World Cup in France, she established herself as a phenomenon to be respected.

She started the team’s six games and in the process, had 3 goals to her name. She also scored a goal at the final which helped the US team to win the tournament defeating the Netherlands by 2 goals to nil. This earned her the Bronze Ball at the tournament and she was subsequently named the sixth-best player in the world.

Personal Life, Married, Husband

Lavelle still seems to be single as she has never been married and has no husband. She has been rather reserved in her private life without a trace of any form of romantic relationship so far. More so, even though there are some that have speculated that she might as well be a lesbian, there is no proof to that.

This youthful striker is truly a prolific and outstanding player but, she has decided to remain determined in her career.

Height, Weight, and Body measurement

Lavelle has a height of 5 ft. and 4 inches while she maintained a flexible weight that befits a player of her status. Her dark brown hair colour and her charmingly attractive eyes helped to enhance her pretty nature.

Salary, Net Worth

Ascertaining that Lavelle is a player of great worth is just saying but the least about her, the great midfielder has been able to accumulate a fat bank account as salary within her short career history.

Her net worth is placed at 100K to $ 1 million approximately, however, this figure has the tendency of multiplying judging from the pace at which she is going in her career.
