On the 26th of December, 2002 Va’Shaundya Nelson got married to Shaquille O’Neal and in the following year on the 19th of April, Shaquir Rashaun was born. He is the third child from his parents’ union; Shareef and Amirah are his elder siblings who were born before his parents got married; Shareef was given birth to in 2000 while Amirah was born in 2001. Me’arah is his younger sibling who was born in 2006. Shaqir also has a half-brother and a step-sister, Myles is the name of the child his mother had before she got married to Shaquille while Taahirah is his step-sister. Shaqir has always lived in affluence and had a childhood full of comfort; he was born in Los Angeles California where he also grew up.

It is not unexpected for a son to try to follow in the footsteps of his father, especially when said father has led a successful life in his chosen field.
