She has been a lover of horses since she was a child and has taken up equestrian competition. When she was a kid, she had a horse which she kept in the backyard. She was brought up in the city until the age of 12 when her parents decided the family was moving back to their hometown in Missouri. To bribe Tammy into agreeing to move, they promised to buy her a horse if she agreed to move. That became her first horse, palomino named Rebel.

Tammy and her boyfriend then, Terry, had both recently left their previous marriages when they met on a show sometime in the very late 1990s.
Tammy and Terry dated for about 14 years, during which Terry tried to avoid committing wholeheartedly to her and deliberately starting and stopping their relationship intermittently. He had recently called it quits with his third failed marriage, and had promised to never give his heart to another woman ever again, but Tammy had such a pull on him that he always ran back to her every time.
He also recalled that despite their long relationship, Tammy never pressured him into any commitment or asked where their relationship was heading. Eventually, Terry casually proposed marriage to her and they finally got married on July 8, 2014.

Before the two met, Tammy Bradshaw was first married to a man known as David Luttrull. They were married from 1983 to 1988. Terry Bradshaw on the other hand, was married three times in the past before meeting and marrying Tammy. His first marriage was to Melissa Babish from 1972 to 1973, and then to Jojo Starbuck from 1976 to 1983 followed by Charlotte Hopkins from 1983 to 1999.

She won a number of titles including Palomino World Premiere Mare, the Congress Champion Amateur Mare in 2018, Congress Reserve Champion Gelding in 2018, as well as a Select World Reserve Championship. She also recorded a win at the 2019 APHA World Show.
