Biography of Vivianne Miedema
The Dutch footballer was born Anna Margaretha Marina Astrid Miedema on July 15 1996 in Hoogeveen, Netherlands. She was brought up by her parents, René Miedema and Carolien Miedema together with a brother, Lars Miedema who is also a footballer.
The early years of her life were dominated wit memories of football. She grew up watching her father play, just as her brother Lars, and because of this, she was drawn to the sport even before she was 5. She joined HZVV in 2001 and by 2009, she made a move to VV de Weide.
Like other women that have risen to the top of football, Viv started playing with the boys and she continued until she was a teenager. When she was 14, she had the opportunity to either go professional or continue with the boys.
In 2011, she started her professional club career with SC Heerenveen after rejecting many international clubs that wanted her over. He exploits with the team even at that age, attracted the interest of more clubs, but she decided to sign for Bayern Munich in 2014. In 2017, Miedema switched to Arsenal after leaving a remarkable mark in Bayern.
As regards her International career, the Arsenal forward started playing for the Netherlands in 2010 when she wore the country’s colors for the first time for the Under-15 team.
