His father, Robert is a Jamaican while his mother is from St Kitts and Nevis.
However, there have been claims by former Ghanaian international, Michael Boye Marquaye that he is the father of the Man United player. Marquaye claimed he had a relationship with Marcus’ mother, Melania some years ago.
Also, the former Ghanaian player added that Marcus Rashford is aware of him being his biological father but does not want to accept it since he abandoned him.
Whatever the story may be, the English player’s parents separated when he was very young. His mother raised him and his siblings on her own.
Marcus has often praised his mother for helping him in his career. He revealed she pushed and encouraged him to sign up for Manchester United’s academy even before he clocked 12. He added that things were quite hard for his mother so he had to go to the academy at a younger age than others to escape from growing up in a low-income family. Reports say he is very close to his mother.
Also Marcus Rashford’s mother, Melanie worked multiple jobs to be able to tend to her family. In addition to that, she sometimes skipped meals to ensure that Rashford and his siblings eat.
Besides that, Marcus’ mother used to work as a cashier. To appreciate his other for all she has done, Rashford rented a £1.8 million Cheshire mansion in 2016. Marcus Rashford’s Siblings
The Manchester United ace has two brothers Dwaine Maynard and Dane Rashford. His two brothers currently represent him in their own agency called DN May Sports Management.
Marcus’ brothers are registered intermediaries for the agency while their friends Joseph Seisay and Lukesay work as the player development officer and head of communication respectively.
Dwaine is also the father of Marcus’ niece, Eliana.
His half-sister through his father, Tamara is a graduate of the University of Salford and spends most of her time doing charity work. Also, Tamara made it to Miss England in 2019.
Apparently, Tamara is not the only philanthropist in the family. Marcus has also been involved in a couple of charity projects. He started a campaign to extend free school meals by writing to the MPs expressing why free meals should be given even during school holidays in England. 2
In January 2020, he sent donations to the Children’s Home Basseterre, St. Kitts.
There are other sources that claim the English player has two older sisters: Chantelle and Claire. However, they are not found on his social media pages like his brothers.

Marcus Rashford has been dating Lucia Loi since he was 15 years old. Apparently, the pair attended the same high school-Ashton on Mersey. The lovers dated for almost a decade before making it public in 2018.
The childhood lovers almost separated during the heat of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020/2021. However, 10 months after the news of their breakup, Marcus and Lucia reconciled.
Moving forward, Rashford proposed to his high school sweetheart in a serene and romantic environment in Hollywood.

Upon her graduation, Marcus Rashford’s girlfriend enrolled in a 3-week online course on Business Management, Marketing, and Related Services from the Harvard Business School Online.
In 2018, she worked at Sugar PR as an assistant PR Event Manager and later at Social Chain Agency as a Marketing Intern.
