Allison Stokke is an American track and field athlete. She has, over the years of being actively involved in the sport, broken a lot of records as well and make some new ones for herself.
Allison is however also famous as the wife of Rickie Fowler who is a professional American golfer.
She has also often been referred to as the sexiest female athlete in recent times.

Allison Stokke was born Allison Rebecca Stokke on the 22nd of March 1989 in Newport Beach, California.
Her parents are Allan and Cindy Stokke. Her dad is a lawyer.
She grew up with her family who was sports inclined as her older brother named David was a gymnast.
She attended Newport Harbor High School and furthered her education at the University of California, Berkeley after winning an athletic scholarship.

1. How She Became An Internet Sensation At The Age Of 17
At the age of 17, while still trying to place her feet solidly in the sporting world, Allison became the ‘talk in many mouths’.
A picture that was taken of her by a journalist while in the field was sexualized. The picture was taken for a sports website but was later reposted months after on another sports blog.
On this latter blog named ‘Leather’, the blogger, as well as the blog’s fans, left comments which were objectifying.
Although there was a case for the post to be taken down and a file against the blog for its act, the photo had already gone viral. The damage was done already and the little that could be done was to try and salvage whatever could be.
This put Allison in a bad light and although she spoke about her displeasure and got support from other athletes and people, it did not stop the stalking and sexual comments aimed at her.

The viral photo of Allison Stokke continued to make rounds and a lot more websites, blogs, and news outlets picked it up and made headlines with it.
This fame was as unforeseen as it was unwanted. It also threatened Allison’s career although she tried not to let it bring her down.

Back in 2017, Rickie Fowler and Allison Stokke started dating. Rickie proposed and engaged Allison in June 2018 and they tied the knot in October of 2019. Their wedding was a beach-inspired wedding.

Allison did not start her career as a pole vaulter. She initially followed in the footsteps of her older brother David who was a successful gymnast.

Allisons has a knack for breaking records and these include the American record for a high school freshman. She also went ahead to set a record of 4.11 meters in 2005 in pole vaulting.
Her love for pole vaulting began while in high school. She joined her school’s pole vaulting group in school and rose to fame.
She won the 2004 15/16 United States title while still aged 15.
6. Stokkes Career And Challenges
Apart from the time she had an unfortunate mishap that resulted in a broken leg while in High School, Allison has been both fortunate and unfortunate.
However, this is very common with sportsmen and women and even in other careers as well.
Although she focused on her career and trained so hard, she was torn between her career and school and at certain points, one had to suffer for the other to thrive.
Her success includes breaking her school’s freshman record and debuting for the NCAA Women’s Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
She also broke a record of finishing as the best with 4.36meters at the London Olympics.
However, amidst her successes, she had the times when her wins and efforts diminished.
When she was a sophomore, she drastically lost a lot of skills and her career was suffering. She failed to reach the NCAA Championship qualifications amongst other sad losses.

Allison was opportune to work with the best in the pole vaulting field. She worked with Scott Slover who was a five-time All-American at UCLA.
The former pole vault star was Allison’s coach for a while and he taught her a lot about being a successful pole vaulter.
However, as of 2019, she started training with a new coach in Phoenix.
8. Allison Stokke Is A Fitness And Sportswear Model
After an on and off career in pole vaulting, Allison decided to take a break from the sports.
She took up another interest in modeling and so she pursued a career in this.
However, she isn’t far from the sports still as she is a fitness model. She also models for sportswear brands such as Nike and Uniqlo.
Her major modeling deal came in 2015 with Nike and a year later, got her second deal with Uniqlo.

9. Allison Stokke Hasn’t Quite Retired From Pole Vaulting Yet
While modeling, Allison teamed up with GoPro and recorded videos of her pole vaulting with the camera. She showed off her refined skills as well as advertise the abilities of the camera in a bid to market the Go Pro brand.
The videos were uploaded to YouTube and Allison has impressed a lot of viewers with her skills
Moving forward, Allison supposedly left professional pole vaulting but didn’t completely let go. She still regularly competes in national-level track meets.
Allison competed and won 8th place at the Chula Vista OTC High-Performance meet in 2016. In 2017, she improved drastically and finished in 3rd place at the 2017 Austin Longhorn Invitational.
35 year old Allison is still training and pursuing a career in pole-vaulting despite her challenges. She has tried to put behind her the viral photo incident and her losses over the years and looks to be a better pole vaulter.
