Benjamin James Boulware was born in Anderson, South Carolina on the 7th of August, 1994 to Jamie and Krystal Boulware. He is the second child of his parents with his older brother, Garrett Boulware who was born two years before him. Ben has two younger siblings, a sister called Bailee and a brother called Cameron. His younger brother, Cameron was born autistic and the other Boulware children put it upon themselves to see that he had a normal as possible childhood, even as a toddler he constantly had seizures which continued into his teenage years. Despite this, his siblings were always there to teach him what he needed to know.

All four children of the Boulware family had childhoods that were mostly spent outdoors with their parents, encouraging a lifestyle that involved the outdoors. This kind of lifestyle was one of the things that contributed to the career choices of the first two Boulware children.

Ben Boulware started playing football even before he got into high school, by the time he was enrolled at T.L Hanna High school he was already really good at the game and he put his talents to work by playing on the school’s team.

Ben is not the only athlete in his family, his elder brother Garret is a pro baseball player who has played in the major leagues with the Dayton Dragons, Cincinnati Reds, and Pensacola Blue Wahoos. He is currently retired after playing the game professionally for three years.

His Career

In 2013, Ben Boulware went to Clemson University in South Carolina. He joined the school’s team; the Clemson Tigers and played the position of a linebacker. For the period he spent in the school he helped to improve their gameplay, with his impressive tackles. It was while he was on the team that they ranked ninth in total defense in the entire country.

Boulware was so good at what he did that in his second year he had 17 tackles and was given the highly coveted title of the national defensive player. But the peak of his awards and recognition was with the receiving of the Jake Lambert Award in 2016, which is given to the linebacker that happens to rank as the highest in the country. The most iconic part of Ben Boulware winning this award is the fact that he is the first person from Clemson University to win it since the inception of the award in 1991. He also won the defensive MVP the following year.

Boulware professional career began in 2017, with him signing up with the Carolina Panthers as a free agent. He did not join the draft for that year. By the end of the year, his contract with the Panthers ended and it was not renewed.

The next team he worked with is the San Francisco 49ers but his time with the team was short and within the same month of his signing he was let go. Ben Boulware is known for how passionate he can get during a game and this has resulted in him being fouled a great deal.
