Daniel Arzani was born on 4 January 1999 in Khorramabad, Iran to his parents, John Arzani, and his mother, Sima Arzni. He was brought up in Persia together with his brother Ben Arzani until the age of 6 when his family moved to Sydney Australia and then they finally settled in Melbourne.

Although he has always had a knack for football since he was a child, that did not stop him from going to school. He attended the Sydney Boys High School before he moved to AIS in 2012.  He later went to La Trobe University.

He started his playing career with the youth club Coogee United in 2009 and then he moved to Eastern Suburbs in 2011. His senior career got its start with FFA CoE in2014 and then in 2015, he moved to Sydney FC. He later played for the following clubs:
