As a freshman, he went ahead to score 14.5 points and 9.4 rebounds and was later named first-team All-Mountain East Conference (MEC). When he was playing as a junior, he averaged 15.3 points and 10.8 rebounds and was named second-team All-MEC.
Haywood signed a two-way contract with the Philadelphia 76ers on the 8th of January 2019 and the contract states that he will split his time between the 76ers and the Delaware Blue Coatsas he was already with the Blue Coats by then. That was the first time he got a taste of the NBA, but it did not last a long time.
In September 2020, it was announced that he was taking his trade to Germany where he had a deal with The Crailsheim Merlins.
