Jese Rodriguez plays as forward for Segunda division club Las Palmas. The Spanish professional footballer is an academy graduate of La Liga side Real Madrid.

The Spanish football player was born in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Spain on 26 February 1993. His father Pascual Rodriguez was a pharmacy worker while his mother Maria Ruiz was a housewife.
Rodriguez is the fourth and oldest child among his five brothers.
2. His Amateur career
Jese Rodriguez began his journey in football with a local team Huracan in 2005. His performances attracted the interest of some La Liga sides such as Espanyol, Mallorca, and Barcelona.
In 2007 at the age of 14, he decided to sign for Real Madrid’s youth system. He was later picked by Real Madrid’s first team manager, Jose Mourinho as part of the club’s pre-season tour of the United States.
He had a successful beginning at the club. He made his first La Liga appearance on March 24, 2012.

The 31 year-old talented player began his senior professional career on December 12 in the first round of the Copa del Rey where he replaced Ronaldo for the last fifteen minutes in a 2-0 away win against SD Ponferradina.
He later made his La Liga debut replacing Ronaldo again on 24 March 2012. Despite having some difficulties of being promoted to the first team, Rodriguez continued to do well in the club till the end of the season.

He made 63 La Liga appearances for Real Madrid throughout his 10-year stay at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Jese Rodriguez signed the French side Paris saint-German on 8 august 2016. The transfer fee was reported to be around €25 million. He made his club debut on 13 august 2016as a substitute for Hatem Ben Arfa in a 1-0 away win over Bastia.
He suffered from appendicitis and was ruled out for some time. When he returned, he made his coupe de La Ligue debut on 14 December.
Jese Rodriguez signed for Las Palmas on loan on 31 January 2017 for the season. He made his debut in the club on February 6, 2017, as a substitute for Vicente Gomez in a 1-0 loss to Granada.
At the end of the season, due to his poor performance, high salary demands, and off-field behavior, Las Palmas did not sign him permanently. He made 16 appearances, scoring only three goals for the club.
On August 16, 2017, Rodriguez joined Premier League club Stoke City on loan for the 2017-18 season.
He made his debut for the team on August 19 and scored one goal in a 1-0 win against Arsenal.
Jese Rodriguez had a tough time at the club as he was always away for personal issues.
His loan spell ended on May 1 2018 and throughout his stay at the club, he made 13 appearances and scored only one goal. He subsequently suffered relegation from the Premier League.
He later returned to PSG but he was excluded from participation and was made to train alone. After a year, he made his first and only appearance on 23 January 2019.
On January 29, 2019, Jese Rodriguez signed for Betis on loan. He made his Europa League debut and later scored his first goal on March 10, 2019, in a win against Celta Vigo.
At the end of the season, Betis did not sign him permanently so he joined sporting CP on loan for the 2019-20 season on 2 September 2019. At the end of the season, he was given a Ligue 1 medal for his contributions at PSG.
The Spanish player still went back to PSG and on December 6, the club announced the termination of his contract by mutual agreement.

Jese Rodriguez represented his country at all levels between 2009 and 2014 under Spanish youth international. He was among the Spain under-17 side for the 2010 UEFA European Football Championship in 2010. He scored one goal at the tournament in Spain’s 3-1 semi-final win over Turkey.
During the 2012 European under-19 championship campaign that was held in Estonia, he scored five goals including a hat trick. He then received the golden boot award for being the top goalscorer for the tournament.
Rodriguez earned a bronze boot award for being the third top goalscorer at the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey.

6. He has four sons and one daughter
Rodriguez is a proud father of four lovely boys, Jese Jr., Neizan, Nyan Kenai, and one daughter Aylen. He conducted a DNA test on his second son, Neizan after he learned of his birth on Instagram. The test confirmed him to be the boy’s father.
In 2017, his third son Nyan was born prematurely and it came with some complications. He broke up with Nyan’s mother Aurah Ruiz, a year after he was born. Aurah Ruiz took the Spanish player to court accusing him of neglecting his duties as a father.
7. He was involved in a sex scandal
In December 2020 he was allegedly involved in a sex scandal. It was also reported that he broke COVID-19 regulations during the coronavirus pandemic lockdown. He took a trip to the Canary Islands.
In late 2020, there were rumors that he cheated on his partner with her friend Rocio Amar. Amar released audio clips of their conversation where the Spanish player called his partner ‘boring’ and ‘crazy’.
This was part of the reason PSG terminated his contract.

Jese Rodriguez was reportedly saved from a suspected gas explosion in the apartment block he was staying in in 2014. He was just back from an operation on cruciate ligaments in Germany and was still using crutches.
He was rescued by firemen. The fire had started in a garage on the first floor of the building.
