He played the game professionally and later became a coach. The 63–year-old Serbian is also a businessman, restauranteur, and father of famous people in tennis – Novak, Marko, and Djordje Djokovic.
In his own right, Srdjan made a great name for himself. Yet, his being the father of one of the world’s highest-ranking tennis players, Novak has given him even more prominence. Novak Djokovic’s Father was Born in a Present-Day Partial Diplomatic Recognized Country
Srdjan Djokovic was born on April 25 1961 in Kosovska Mitrovica, a city located in Kosovo (officially known as the Republic of Kosovo). At his birth and even in adulthood, Kosovo which is now a country with partial diplomatic recognition was fully under Serbia.
To say the least, Srdjan also grew up in the same country (which at the time was not a country). He was brought up by his parents Stanka and Vladimir in Zvečan.
Whatever the case, he later moved to Belgrade, the capital city of Serbia as well as the largest city in the country.

As earlier mentioned, Srdjan’s parents are Stanka and Vladimir. He has two siblings, a sister named Jelena and a brother Goran.
The skier coach received most of his earliest education in Zvečan and after high school, he moved to Belgrade in Serbia. There, he started to study law but did not complete his education. Instead, he headed to become deep in skiing.

- When his son Novak Djokovic was detained in Australia, he alongside his wife Dijina Djokovic joined a protest rally in Belgrade; he accused the Australian Prime Minister of being a dictator
- Srdjan Djokovic is known to have rifts with tennis player Roger Federer; Srdjan has even called Federer out for not being “a good man”
His Wife and Children
The former skier is married to Dijana Djokovic (née Žagar). The couple met in 1986 and have three boys.
On May 22, 1987, the couple had their first child, Novak Djokovic in Belgrade, Serbia. He is the most famous of Srdjan Djokovic’s children and is also a professional tennis player who became a pro in 2003.
Novak also won 11 Australian Open tournaments (2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023). He also won 3 Fren Open, 7 Wimbledon, and 3 US Open.
Away from Novak, the family’s second child, Marko Djokovic was born on 20 August 1991. He is a former tennis player.
The third and last child of the family is Djordje Djokovic. He was born in 1995 and was a tennis player and tournament director at Novak Tennis Center.
