Magali Rodriguez’s parents, Laura Lopez and an unidentified father may not be as successful or well-known as their daughter who has enjoyed fame as a formidable boxer. The 32-year-old has won more than 20 career fights and is not showing any signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Ismela Magali Rodriguez Lopez was born on September 4, 1990, to a woman identified as Laura Lopez and a father she has not revealed his identity. From what we gathered, the combat sports fighter grew up in an environment surrounded by gangs but made the decision to change the course of her life by honing skills in boxing. At first, she just wanted to learn the basic skills to help her cope with street fights and gangs but stuck with boxing due to the better chances it gave her and the discipline involved.
Making such a choice may have been a welcome idea to some parents since it would keep their kids off the street, yet, her mother was not as supportive from the get-go. In fact, it was after she showed so much determination to the sports before her mother started supporting her boxing dreams. According to Magali, she used to be careful during her initial fights so that opponents wouldn’t beat her in front of her mother
Magali Rodriguez is not the Only Child of Her Parents
Even though Magali is a global name among boxing aficionados and the most popular member of her family, she has another identified sibling. Her sister’s name remains unknown yet, they seem to have a very cordial relationship.

The Boxer’s Other Relationships
Even though she has kept the identities of her parents private, she shared a close relationship with coach Francisco Flores. As you would easily find, she started training at the age of 17 under his guidance and after she won the golden gloves within the same year, Since then, she moved on with big dreams of one day reaching the very top of boxing. To set this in motion, Magali started fighting professionally seven months after she started training.
In all of this, she revealed that Francisco taught her the basics starting from hits and even through the amateur rounds. Aside from her first coach, she also enjoyed a close professional relationship with another teacher identified as Panchito.
As her career expanded, she has also been trained by other coaches including Chava Franzoni.

Aside from her trainers and earliest coaches who have provided support to Magali in her career rise, she also has a cordial relationship with other fighters. Notably are Jackie Nava and Ana María Torres
