He is married to a former college football player, Liza Barber, and has seven children together.

Ryan Fitzpatrick was born Ryan Joseph Fitzpatrick on November 24, 1982, in Gilbert, Arizona to Michael Stevens Fitzpatrick and the late Lori Sue Fitzpatrick. He has three brothers, Brandon Michael, Jason Stevens, and Shaun Bernard. He is currently 42 years old.

Ryan had his high school education at Gilbert Highland High School. The school has produced some of the finest athletes in Arizona,  including Leo Daschbach, Alex Naddour, Shane Loux, and Marquis Cooper.

After high school, he enrolled at Harvard University, where he studied economics and played college football for 3 years. Before his graduation in 2004, he won several accolades such as the “Ivy League Player of the Year,” and  the ” George H. Lowe Award.” In addition, he ranked second on the school’s career list for pass completions, touchdowns, yard passing, and pass completion percentage behind Neil Rose, and he was also the first quarterback to Irish for over a thousand career yards.

In 2005, Fitzpatrick was selected by the St. Louis Rams in the 7th round of that year’s NFL Draft, and shortly signed a 3-year contract with the club. Subsequently, the Gilbert-born went on to play for 8 teams such as the Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills, Tennessee Titans, Houston Texans, New York Jets, Tempa Bay Buccaneers, Miami Dolphins, and Washington Commanders.

Fitzpatrick’s wife, Liza Barber was born and raised in West Des Moines, Iowa. She attended Valley High School and played soccer. Subsequently, she gained admission into Harvard University, where she continued playing, and became the captain of the college team. She graduated in 2005.

After college, she stopped playing, even though no reason was given for that.

Ryan Fitzpatrick and his wife, Liza Barber have been married for 18 years. The couple first met at Harvard University and began to date. They got married on June 24, 2006.

Fitzpatrick and Barber have 7 children; 4 girls and 3 boys. They are Ruby, Maizy, Zoey, Lucy, Tate, Brandy, and Jake.

Fitzpatrick Retired After Playing For 17 Years

Ryan Fitzpatrick retired from American football in 2022, after playing for 17 seasons with 9 different NFL clubs. Following that, it was announced he would work with Amazon as a pre-game and post-game analyst.

Prior to this, he signed his first contract with St Louis Rams after they selected him in the 2005 NFL Draft.

Between 2007 and 2012, the former NFL quarterback played for the Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Bills. Afterward, he spent 2013, 2014, and 2015/16 seasons with the Tennessee Titans, Houston Texans, and the New York Jets. Over the next 2 seasons, “Fitzmagic” played for the Tempa Bay Buccaneers and the Miami Dolphins.

In 2021, he joined the Washington Commanders,  but only managed to feature in a game in which he suffered a hip dislocation. The injury kept him out of action for the rest of the season.

Fitzpatrick’s first contract with St. Louis Rams was worth $953, 000. The Buffalo Bills signed him in 2009 for $7.4 million and extended it in 2011 for $59 million. Additionally, the New York Jets, Tempa Bay Buccaneers, and Miami Dolphins paid $12 million, $3 million, and $11 million from the respective contracts they signed with him.
